County Clerk Bill Knowles Endorses her for Office
Brooke Weaver, who serves as Chief Deputy Clerk in the Hamilton County Clerk’s Office, has officially announced her candidacy for the position of County Clerk to succeed longtime Clerk Bill Knowles who announced he would not seek another term Thursday. Weaver announces her candidacy with the endorsement of Clerk Knowles.
“Brooke Weaver brings a proven record of leadership, accountability, and innovation to her campaign,” said Knowles. “She has the experience, dedication, and vision to continue leading this office with excellence. The citizens of Hamilton County will be well served under her leadership.”
Weaver, who has spent 18 years serving in the Clerk’s Office, has launched her candidacy on her commitment to public service and deep understanding of the office’s daily demands.
“The County Clerk’s Office has more traffic than any other office in Hamilton County, serving hundreds of citizens each week,” stated Weaver. “Day in and day out I see firsthand how important it is to serve the public with integrity, accountability, and excellence. The experience I have gained over the last 18 years has uniquely prepared me to lead on day one.”
Weaver starts her campaign with a pledge to maintain strong fiscally conservative leadership by returning excess fees to the Hamilton County General Fund, which is a direct savings that supports schools, infrastructure, and law enforcement.
A State Certified Public Administrator and Certified County Finance Officer, Weaver holds a Bachelor of Science in Administration from Bryan College and Associate of Science in Accounting from Chattanooga State Community College. She is currently a member of Leadership Tennessee’s NEXT Class XI.
“My goal is simple: keep the Clerk’s Office running smoothly from day one and continuing a legacy of service which puts the people of Hamilton County first. If honored with this opportunity to be elected to oversee an office which I have spent my career in, I will continue working side by side with the staff and constituents to ensure every person served experiences efficient and respectful customer service,” said Weaver.
Within the Hamilton County community, Weaver serves on the Board of Directors of the Chattanooga Federal Employees Credit Union, is the Chairwoman of the Advisory Board to the Family Justice Center and has served as an advisor to the board of Cempa Community Care.
